The Harvard Club of Central Florida

presents the inaugural installment of

Crimson Connections

A new series bringing alumni together for ideas, conversation, and connection.
Crimson Connections is a happy hour & dinner series spotlighting the expertise in our own backyard. Each month, 3-4 fellow alumni take the mic for 10–15 minutes to share the trends, breakthroughs, and challenges shaping their fields — from tech to medicine to law and beyond. Grab a drink, connect with old friends, and discover the depth of talent within our own club. Scroll below for the program.

6:30–7:30 PM | Four Talks, Four Ideas
Four speakers. Four perspectives. One hour of thought-provoking, TED Talk-style presentations.

1) A New Way of Understanding Our Planet… and Beyond

By Clint Graumann, CEO, NuView Space

What if the best way to understand Earth is to look at it from space?

Join us for a fascinating, TED-style conversation about the technologies being developed to observe Earth and the Moon—and why what we learn from above could have a profound impact on life here on Earth. You don’t need to be a space expert! Come curious, leave inspired, and discover how exploring beyond our planet can help us better understand—and sustainably protect—the one we call home.

2) The New Ivies: Why Prestige Is Being Rewritten & What It Means For Students Today

By Inny Kim, CEO, EdMissions Office Education & College Consulting

What if the definition of an “elite” college is changing—and we’re still using an outdated definition of prestige?

College admissions expert of 25+ years, Inny Kim explores the rise of the “New Ivies”: universities gaining recognition not simply for their names, but for how well they prepare students for a rapidly changing world. We’ll look at AI readiness, employer demand, changing demographics, and the evolving meaning of “fit”—and what these shifts mean for families making college decisions right now.  You’ll leave with a new framework for building a college list: instead of asking only “How prestigious is this school?”, you’ll know how to evaluate whether a college is actually preparing your student for the opportunities—and challenges—ahead.

-3) The Last Mile of Medicine

By Shri Parikh, The Mobile Health Company, Founder & CEO

What good is the world’s best medical technology if it never reaches the people who need it most?

In this talk, Shri explores the often-overlooked “last mile” of healthcare: bringing proven medical care beyond the hospital and into the communities where patients actually live. From access and delivery to the technology making it possible, Shri will explore why the next great healthcare breakthrough may not be a new invention—but finding better ways to get the care we already have to the people who need it. You'll leave with a new perspective on healthcare innovation and why solving the last mile may be one of the medicine's most important challenges.

4) Impromptu YOU!

One guest will be selected at random the evening of the event.

Have an interesting idea, emerging trend, unexpected breakthrough, or fascinating story from your field that you think fellow Harvard Club members would enjoy?

We’re leaving the fourth speaker spot open for YOU. Submit a topic you’d love to share for a lively 10–12 minute mini-talk, and you could be our surprise speaker of the evening! This is not a sales pitch or a political soapbox—just a chance to introduce your fellow alumni to something interesting, surprising, or thought-provoking from your world. To throw your hat in the ring, email your proposed topic to harvardclubcf@gmail.com or innykim11@gmail.com. All topics must be submitted and approved in advance; one speaker will be selected at random that evening.

7:30 PM+ | Keep the Conversation Going
No hard stop - stay, mingle, and continue the conversation for as long as the group wants.

Come for the ideas. Stay for the connections.
