Innovation and Growth at VacayMyWay: A Conversation with CEO Jim Stewart
James (Jim) Stewart is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of VacayMyWay, an online travel agency and vacation-rental marketplace headquartered in Dallas, Texas. He launched the company in 2019 alongside co-founders Ted Hight and Billy Smith, motivated by his own frustrations as a property‐owner listing on traditional vacation‐rental sites: rising fees, convoluted refund policies, and diminished service levels. Under Stewart’s leadership, VacayMyWay has differentiated itself by offering a simpler, more transparent booking experience for travelers and hosts alike, and by implementing a wholesale pricing model designed to reduce guest fees and increase host revenue.
