2024 Hope for the Holidays
Virtual Food Drive
has teamed up with the
Harvard Club of Broward County and Harvard Club of Palm Beach
to raise funds and make an impact for our neighbors facing hunger through Second Harvest Food Bank.
As the holiday season approaches, many families in Florida are struggling to make ends meet. With rising costs and inflation, many of our neighbors are being forced to cut back on essentials — including food.
That's where you come in.
The Central & South Florida Harvard Clubs Virtual Food Drive is an opportunity for us to come together and make a real difference. By donating today, you can help provide healthy, nutritious meals to children and families facing hunger in our community.
Every $10 donation provides 40 meals.
No donation is too small, and every dollar counts. With your help, we can ensure that more families can celebrate the holidays with the food and warmth they deserve.
Join us in spreading hope this holiday season.
Donate today and help make a lasting impact.
You can make your donation online by visiting the Central & South FL Harvard Clubs page and clicking on the "Donate Now" button.
Every dollar makes an incredible difference!
Second Harvest Food Bank
Mission
To create hope and nourish lives through a powerful hunger relief network, while multiplying the generosity of a caring community.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to more than 750 feeding partners in seven Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. Last year, with the help of numerous donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributed enough food for 78 million meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women's shelters, senior centers, day care centers and Kids Cafes.
In addition to helping feed the line of our neighbors who need help, Second Harvest also transforms dozens of lives directly every year. The Second Harvest Culinary Training Program is a 16-week continuing education opportunity offering adults facing barriers to employment with the culinary and life skills training needed to pursue a full-time sustainable career in the food industry. Yet another important activity helps connect people who are eligible to receive SNAP food assistance benefits with the resources they need to access the program and get help.
